The tour driver will pick up from your hotel or the airport/railway station and then take you to Jama Masjid. This is the biggest mosque in the city which was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. At any given time 500 people can do prayer here.

After Jama Masjid you will visit the Red Fort. Every 15th of August our Prime Minister hoists the tri-colour here. This site is of huge national significance. It derives its name from red coloured sandstone which is used in building it.

Once you are done seeing Red Fort, you can visit Qutub Minar. This is 73meter tall tower. It will take approximately 50 minutes to reach Qutab Minar from Red Fort. The 1st Muslim ruler of Delhi, Qutab-Ud din Aibak constructed Qutub Minar way back in 1200 AD. Qutab Minar is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Firoz Shah Tughlak completed construction of this minaret.

Once you are done seeing Qutab Minar you can visit Raj Ghat. This is a memorial which is built in memory of Mahatma Gandhi who is regarded as Father of the Nation. There is no entry fee to Raj Ghat. It is open for public viewing from 6:00 AM to 7:00 P.M.

After having breakfast you must proceed to see Lotus Temple. This is the only temple in the world dedicated to Bahai faith. It is designed to shape a flower.

The next place to see is Jantar Mantar. It was made by Maharaja Jai Singh 2 of Jaipur. It encompasses 13 architectural astronomy instruments.

Now you can go to any well-known place in the capital for lunch. Some of the popular eating places in Delhi are Big Chill Café, Café Delhi Heights, Haldiram’s, etc. If you are fond of street food you can visit Chandni Chowk and enjoy dishes like Chaat Tikki, Chole Bhature.
